The difference with traditional visas

The Thailand Privilege Visa is distinctly different from other visas available in Thailand. For example:

  • Le Visa B is reserved for foreigners wishing to work in Thailand.
  • Le Visa ED is designed for students pursuing a course of study in the country.
  • Le Visa OA It is aimed at retirees over 50 years of age.

These traditional visas often involve complex administrative procedures and significant financial requirements, such as depositing large sums of money in a Thai bank account.

In contrast, the Thailand Privilege Visa offers an ideal solution for investors , retirees, and frequent visitors. It allows for long-term residency in Thailand without the usual administrative hassles. Among its main advantages are:

  • A extended duration (5, 10 or 20 years) without obligation to renew annually.
  • The VIP services and premium support to simplify your procedures.
  • There is no need to leave the territory regularly.

By choosing this visa, you save time, reduce the stress associated with immigration formalities, and can fully enjoy your life in Thailand. Furthermore, this option encourages foreigners to invest in local real estate , a booming sector offering excellent return opportunities.

    Extremely interesting,

I would like to better understand the conditions for starting a business in Thailand, with a view to officially establishing myself in the country.

What are the corporate tax amounts?

What is the amount of income tax?

In Thailand, if you are a sole proprietor, are you required to be your own employer in order to have official and professionally recognized status?

What taxes are levied on salaries? On dividends?

Can French citizens living abroad retain a specific French health insurance card?

    Thank you for your answers!

      Hello,

Thank you for your message, your questions are the right ones… and above all they avoid common mistakes.

In Thailand, for an “official” establishment, you have to think in 3 blocks: visa + structure + taxation.
      • Corporate tax: standard rate around 20%, with possible schemes for small structures (depending on profits and conditions).
      • Income tax: progressive scale, the more you earn, the higher the rate.
      • Being a sole proprietor: in practice, setting up a company "on your own" is rarely as simple as in France (structure, shareholding, administrative requirements). Legal arrangements exist, but they must be done properly, with a lawyer/accountant.
      • Salaries / dividends: salaries are taxed according to the scale + charges depending on the arrangement; dividends are treated differently (possible withholdings).
      • Carte Vitale: you don't "keep" it like you would in France if you no longer reside there. However, there are solutions for French citizens abroad (e.g., CFE), depending on your situation.

If you tell me: your activity, whether you are coming alone or as a couple, and whether the objective is residence + business or only business, I will answer you in a much more concrete way (with realistic options and pitfalls to avoid).

      Sincerely.
      Sammy
